Robert M Powell

Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Robert M. Powell is a highly-regarded Bay Area musician whose chops have been featured on recordings by Peter Gabriel, John Lee Hooker, and Jackson Browne! With his new endeavor EVERETT TREE, a collaborative effort that includes Mark McCartney (percussion), brother James Eric Powell (co-songwriter), and the seasoned skills of Billy James Dean, Robert's talents are on full display through thoughtfully creative and beautifully crafted tunes. As a composer, Robert has scored for numerous films including the award-winning documentaries EL DORADO (Cine Golden Eagle Award), FOREST THROUGH THE TREES (Discovery Channel), TEXAS GOLD (Best Doc NYC Short Film Festival 2007), COUNTING SHEEP (Emmy, Best Doc, Best Cinematography 2006), the dramatic feature LADY AND THE TIGER along with bassist Rob Wasserman, the ABC Saturday Night Prime-Time TV Series EARLY EDITION, as well as many multi-media projects including the video game ALADDIN (Disney). Robert works primarily out of his recording studio, Blue Yonder Recording Studios / The Underbelly, in Marin County CA.
