John E. McCoy

(1926-2007) Greenville, Ohio-based bandleader, arranger and educator. His Johnny McCoy Orchestra was a successful high-end night club and country club dance band in the 1960s and 70s. McCoy is remembered for mentoring many young musicians. He is the father of Ken McCoy (1946-2018) who was a Chief Arranger for United States Army bands and later arranged for The Ohio State University Marching Band for over twenty years.
