Danish pop singer and songwriter (October 7, 1947 - January 9, 2006) born Jytte Elisabeth Edberg Jørgensen in Kolding, Denmark. Won a small competition at 13 years old in Kolding, Denmark and continued to perform at restaurants in Copenhagen with an orchestra, and then sang at American military bases in Europe and Dyrehavsbakken, Klampenborg afterwards. Debuted in 1970 with "Prik, Prik, Komma, Streg" and had a number of hits in Denmark during the seventies, such as "Ticke - Ticke - Tong", "Du Har En Chance Endnu", "Se Dig Omkring", as well as "Send Mig Et Brev" released on 16 Danske Top Træffere, but best known for the Danish rendition of the 1973 hit "Eviva España" written by Leo Caerts, with Danish lyrics by Viggo Happel. In 1977, she became singer with the Svend Nicolaisens Orkester in Tivoli, Copenhagen and also performed with other orchestras. Briefly returned in the nineties to record with Asterix Danseband and Bjørn & Okay. Married to pianist Arly "Crazy" Deveril.
