Madame Azadeh is an Afghan singer. With Mrs Parveen, she belonged to the first generation of women recording songs in Kabul radio. She studied music with Ustad Abdolghafour Breshna. Her 60’s songs were mainly composed by Hafizullah Khayal, Jalil Zoland and Naynawaz. In an interview in 2006, she said that after leaving the country because of the war she finally stopped singing. Also she said that she never gave any agreement to any label to release cassettes or cds with her songs.
