Shingo Shinmachi

Shingo Shinmachi (新町 慎悟) is the bassist for the Japanese band gellers (2) and leads a solo project called Chanson Sigeru. He was born in Tokyo in 1980. In high school, he began participating as a drummer in a band formed with his classmates. Later the band changed their name to Gellers and in 2007 they released the first album "GELLERS" under "COMPARE NOTES RECORDS" presented by "MAP". In the same year, they performed at the Fuji Rock Festival. He also supported the live performance of Shugo Tokumaru, a member of Gellers, as a percussionist. He currently participates in the project "Shugo Tokumaru & The Magic Band". He was in charge of all sounds, including his own voice and noise, as well as playing drums, percussion, guitars, keyboards, etc. His unique sensitivity has been demonstrated in illustrations and animations, drawing attention in various fields.
