Joe Caporiccio

Film journalist and reviewer, laser disc editor, film and film music restoration. Cited from the booklet of "Bernard Herrmann - The Snow of Kilimanjaro / 5 Fingers": Joseph Caporiccio has been film and video reviewer for "Perfect Vision" magazine. He later started the "Pioneer Special Editions" label for laserdisc and was responsible for stereo restorations of "The Ten Commandments", "The Seventh Voyage Of Sinbad", "Mysterious Island", and many others. He also restored the film "1776" to the director's length never seen by the public in a restoration that the "Los Angeles Times" called "the most dramatic restoration in the history of home video." His work can be heard in the new DVD of "Picnic" with a remixed stereo track.
