In the early nineties, Brian formed the Cincinnati-based hard rock band, "Code Blue". This consisted of vocalist Robb Nichols, bassist Pauly Gessendorf, drummer G.S. Goforth (Raisin' Cain/Altered Ego), and himself. During the summer of 1992, the line-up also included guitarist, Kris Davis (Strange Reality/Altered Ego). Code Blue went on to see many players come in and out of the group. From bassist Joe Meadows, aka 'Val' (Trimble), to vocalist Tony Nickol, bassist Kevin Black (aka Max Doubt) and many more. After spending time on the road as soundman with the progressive-pop group, "Acumen", Brian decided to focus more intently on writing and recording. In 1996, He released his first solo record, "Image Driven World". Brian continued writing and performing with “Code Blue” until they disbanded in 1999. In 2001, along with former “Code Blue” drummer, Chris Isaacs, he formed the Prog-power Metal band “Undershadow” with vocalist, Derrick Bolton (Jonus Grumby). Undershadow's song, "The Dream That Never Was" went on to be featured on the Prog Power IV compiliation CD in 2003.
