Johanna Klein (2)

Johanna Klein grew up in Rüsselsheim, Germany. From early on she got in contact with jazz music via Big Band playing. She started in the local IKS Big Band, subsequently played in the State Big Band of Hessian. Johanna Klein studied at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, she toured in many countries of Europe, South Africa and in the U.S. Today she lives in Cologne and as a musician and composer she takes part of the music scene. With her quartet - Johanna Klein Quartet - she won the jazz@undesigned award 2019. In 2020 she received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Science of Northrhine-Westphalia.
