森雄士

Yūji Mori. Japanese koto and shamisen player. Born in 1929 in Yamagata prefecture. Died in 2012. Studied piano and western music as well as Yamada-ryū koto with Saitō Shōsei and Hisamoto Genchi. Studied music theory with Dan Ikuma and Shibata Minao and, after graduating, taught at the TSB. Later he also taught at the Kawamura School for Girls. His compositions include From the Poems of Ishikawa Takuboku, Duet for Koto and Flute, Ichikotsu-chō, Fantasy for Solo Koto and others.
