The Power Star is a synth rock band from Charleston, SC. They play pop and softcore tunes about love and loss with a combination of bass, synthesizer, vocals, and programmed drums. The band started in April of 1999 as a recording project. The two members, Adam and Chris, tried adding other members, but none of them worked out, so by December they decided that the band would forever be a two piece; it was also on the eve of the millennium, that The Power Star became a live band.
