Marisa Del Frate (born 11 March 1931, Rome, Italy – died 5 February 2015, Rome, Italy) was an Italian actress, singer and television personality. She began her career as a model, winning the 1956 Miss Universe contest in Palermo, Italy. She then transitioned to the role of pop singer in 1958, winning the Festival di Napoli. After performing at the Sanremo Festival in 1959 she moved to musical comedy. She was a confident star, brimming with an explosive energy and contagious joy. Her debut in theatre was in Chiamate Arturo 777 with Erminio Macario, later pairing with [a2676943] for Monsieur Cenerentolo and Il Rampollo (1960/61). Her TV debut in 1961 was in L'Amico Del Giaguaro with Gino Bramieri and [a4947370], she also appeared on the television variety show La trottola with Corrado Mantoni and Sandra Mondaini which made her a household name in the mid-1960's. In 1965, she acted on stage in Il Naso Finto with Raffaele Pisu and Gino Bramieri and in Italiani Si Nasce, repeating her success with [a1798987] in the comedy Valentina (1968).
