Mama (3)

Manolis Zografakis, otherwise known as Mama, began his music journey in 2000 as a guitar player for the Greek punk rock band Squareheads. Shortly after, having realised that his passion was in electronic music, he started producing a variety of music styles ranging from tech-house and electronica to Djing in some of the biggest nightclubs in Athens (Luv, Balux, Danza, Barouge, Wunderbar, Vitrine, Arthouse and Gimmick are only a few examples). Since 2006 he has been an official member of the T.S.O.E record label team (The Sound Of Everything) and has featured in the compilation Hellectronic 01, with one of his well known songs Have a nice trip (top airplay of the month at Best 92.6 FM radio station in October 2006). This song also featured in the movie Alter Ego (a Village Roadshow production). In 2008 Mama released his debut album Blue under the T.S.O.E record label and received rave reviews from both the public and critics. Simultaneously, Mama was holding two weekly radio shows on Hijack FM 96.6 and Tripradio.gr, where he played a wide selection of electronica and a variety of other music genres. For the past two years he has hosted a weekly podcast entitled Deep dub & dirty on www.hijack.gr and this is still going strong.
