Teddy Fregoso was born in Degollado, Jalisco, Mexico on December 25, 1925, died in Hollywood, California on January 11, 2015. He was a publicist, writer, composer, american radio and television entrepreneur. Brother of the bullfighter Carmelo Torres, father of Nathaniel Fregoso, leader of the alternative rock band The Blood Arm and uncle of the film producer Cat Fletcher. His passion for music makes him move to study at the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City, he is an outstanding student in composition and harmony of Rafael Hernández Marín. Since then he has registered more than 500 works of his own, as he says: "- As a composer, I am a founding member of the Society of Authors and Composers of Music (SACM). My first song "Por Qué Eres Así" was published and recorded in 1945. Charlie Zaa revived it in 2001 and was one of the most "played" on Hispanic radio in the United States. "Sabrás Que Te Quiero", the best known of my songs, has more than three hundred recordings that include from Javier Solis to Placido Domingo. Note: "Sabrás Que Te Quiero", was the number one theme of the year 1949, in Latin America, having made a film based on that theme in the 50s, is also considered one of the classic boleros of all time.
