Rickie Clark

An Indianapolis, Indiana-based musician, producer, songwriter, and label owner who was most active between the late 1970s and mid 1980s. Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Clark founded the Circle City Records (2) label during the late 1970s while working not only as a patrolman in the Brightwood neighborhood for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, but also a WTLC FM radio disc jockey on the weekends under the moniker "Rickie 'Solid Gold' Clark". In 1980, he merged Circle City Records (2) with Tyscot Records and joined the latter as its vice president and general manager while continuing to work as a policeman and weekend DJ. During the mid 1980s he formed The Rickie Clark Company.
