Walter Tilgner

German field recordist (* 08 July 1934 in Olmütz / Mähren, Czechoslovakia; now Olomouc, Czech Republic). Tilgner studied zoology and botany at the University of Frankfurt/Main and then worked at the Bodensee-Naturmuseum in Konstanz (Lake Constance Museum of Nature in Constance). His leisure time is dedicated to the nature, especially the forest, and the documentary collection of sound pictures from meadows, valleys, and forests.
