HR7

HR7 is a rock/funk band based in Fresno, and has been playing in the central California region since late 2006. Aggressive rhythms drive their sound, bolstered by complimenting winds and thought-provoking lyrics. Rock with horns. As Fresno State’s The Collegian puts it, “HR7 is electric.” HR7 have played at Let's Go Bowling’s 22nd Anniversary, Fresno’s annual The Best in Fresno, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. In 2007, the group was named “Rookie Band of the Year” by The Fresno Bee. Seven musicians, all music students from Fresno State. “We didn’t get a guitar and print tabs off the Internet,” says drummer, Michael Bonner. “We study music theory and perform in all the major ensembles, be it a symphony or an orchestra or a jazz band. We connect the dots, and have fun filling in the colors.” The band regularly gigs at Fresno’s hot-spots, including The Starline, Club Fred, and The Sequoia Brewing Company. Their rock and funk influences are infectious, inviting any audience to nod their head, and their stage presence keeps fans active, excited, and participating.
