The Acoustic Sound Hounds

Acoustic Sound Hounds is a Kaufman County, Texas bluegrass band that plays traditional and contemporary bluegrass, country and old gospel while adding its own flavor to the music. Their music has been described as “Bluegrass with Americana Roots.” Always working on new material, the band specializes in writing and performing its own music compositions. The four person band consists of Combine, Texas residents Craig Dennie on banjo, and Phil Boyd on bass; and Cottonwood, Texas residents Jeff Gray on rhythm guitar and Pam Gray on mandolin. The band was formed in 2008 when Pam began playing the mandolin. Phil then put down his guitar and began playing bass. Soon Pam’s husband Jeff, and friend Craig, joined the group and the band was complete by 2009.
