村田武雄

村田武雄 = Takeo Murata (30 September 1908, Tokyo - 16 March 1997) is a Japanese classical music critic and was a professor emeritus at Kunitachi College of Music. From the 1950s to the 1980s, he wrote many books on classical music and worked to popularize it. He has also translated foreign music-related books. In his later years, he was one of the leading music critics of his time (Wikipedia).
