Diminished Empires is a one-man atmospheric fretless black metal project that originated in Nashville, Tennessee. The only member, Kyle Caldwell, writes, performs and produces everything for the project, including mixing, mastering, and all artwork involved as well. The project started in late 2016 and the writing of the material slowly took shape. From April 2019 to May 2020, the debut self-titled album was recorded, and released digitally on May 20, 2020. As of March 2021, Kyle (and the project) has relocated to the northwest Atlanta area. Label: Nullfrost Records
