Manuel Cano, flamenco guitarist born into a family where musical performance was the order of the day (his father played the guitar and his mother the baton), he received his first guitar at the age of seven at the hands of his grandfather. industrial expertise, a job he dedicated to helping his family, so he started his professional career as a guitarist, as early as the late 1950s. He won by opposition the flamenco guitar chair at the Conservatorio Superior de Música "Rafael Orozco" in Córdoba , which allowed him to devote himself to training while composing. In 1986 his book The Guitar, History, Study and Approaches to Flamenco Art, seen through his book, became an important work in the study of flamenco guitar and for which he won the research award that year in the Jerez flamencology chair.
