British classical flautist & piccolo player, Professor of Flute, writer, and presenter. Born in 1971 in Guildford, Surrey, England, UK. He studied at The Guildhall School Of Music & Drama. Shortly after graduating, he was appointed Principal Flute in the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at the age of 23, the youngest principal player in the Orchestra. After five years, in 2000, he was invited to become Principal Flute with the London Symphony Orchestra where he has remained ever since. Professor of Flute at the Royal College of Music, London since 2012.
