Jonathan Vaughan

British classical double bass player and Professor of Double Bass. Born in July 1963 in Chippenham, Wiltshire, England, UK. He studied at the Royal College of Music, London (1982-1986) and The Guildhall School Of Music & Drama. Former member (July 1992 - July 2002) & Chairman (July 1999 - July 2002) of the London Symphony Orchestra and Director of the National Youth Orchestra Of Great Britain (September 2002 - August 2007). Senior staff member at The Guildhall School Of Music & Drama, London (Vice-Principal & Director of Music, September 2007 - September 2021, Principal from 2021).
