Gilles Nehr

Gilles Nehr is a contemporary French archetier based near Bordeaux, known as the exclusive caretaker of Juilliard School's bow collection (1999–2002) and inventor of Tête-Bêche bow. From 1997 till 1999, Nehr worked at René Morel Rare Violins shop in New York, as the only staff bowmaker, where he restored and serviced extraordinarily rare and expensive bows for such renowned players, as Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman, Isaac Stern, Joshua Bell, Midori Goto, and Jaime Laredo. In 1999, Gilles Nehr opened his workshop in Manhattan.
