Joel Annmo

Swedish opera singer (tenor), born August 6, 1987 in Sundbyberg. He is active at the Royal Opera in Stockholm. He studied at the Conservatory of Music in Falun and graduated in 2011 from the Opera Academy in Stockholm. He then studied at the Vocal Arts in Nuremberg. He has been awarded scholarships from, among others, the Royal Academy of Music 2009, the Christina Nilsson scholarship 2010 and Anders Walls Giresta Scholarship 2011. In 2014, Joel Annmo won The Luciano Pavarotti Giovani Award for Best Male Singing at the International Gian Battista Viotti Competition for Young Opera Singers. In 2018, he was awarded the Håkan Mogren scholarship "for and for efforts for human well-being". In 2019, he was awarded the Birgit Nilsson scholarship. Joel Annmo is the son of Thomas Annmo.
