Nellie Daniels was a gospel singer and member of the original Robert Anderson And His Gospel Caravan. From 1952 to 1954, she served in The Caravans (2), a newly formed gospel group featuring Walker and Daniels under their new name and made their first recording on April 18, 1952. During this recording session, a sequence of events happened, resulting in Robert Anderson (5) parting ways with his background singers. Nellie Daniels sang soprano and performed lead on songs such as: “What Do You Need” and “Why Should I Worry.”
