American composer, songwriter, and publisher. b.: August 22, 1889 (San Francisco, California, U.S.) d.: May 2, 1962 (Hollywood, California, U.S.) Bibo composed the scores for more than 300 motion pictures. In the 1920s, he wrote songs for numerous Broadway shows including the Ziegfeld Follies and the Greenwich Village Follies. He also composed several college fight songs, such as, "Sing UCLA," the "Stanford Scalp Song," and the "Michigan State College Marching Song." He joined ASCAP in 1920 and was an ASCAP director in 1924-1927. His musical collaborators were Al Piantadosi, Leo Woods, and Don R. George.
