Об исполнителе:
German comic singer, composer, and lyricist (b. April 5, 1882 Berlin – d. December 8, 1941 Berlin). Lindemann was a well-known cabaret singer in Berlin who often performed in the guise of the Berlin original Fritze Bollmann. He wrote numerous hit songs (Schlager), but also a number of operettas. Many of his songs are still popular, such as his drinking song "Trink, Trink, Brüderlein, Trink" (Drink, Drink, Little Brother, Drink, 1927) or his Christmas novelty "Der Weihnachtsmann kommt (Eine Muh, eine Mäh)" (Santa Claus Is Coming [A Moo, A Meh], 1912). His 1908 march medley, "Unter dem Grillenbanner", a humorous medley of Strauss waltzes in march form whose title comically combined J. F. Wagner's "Unter dem Doppeladler" and J. Strauss' waltz "Grillenbanner", entered the standard repertoire of marching bands. Lindemann's 1917 operetta "Heinrich Heines erste Liebe"(Heinrich Heine's first love) was turned into a 1922 silent movie. Lindemann published some of his songs under the pseudonyms Waldemar Alfredo, Fritz(e) Bollmann, Ernst Eckstein, and C. Komzak.
