Piero Vivarelli

Italian film director, screenwriter (Siena, Feb. 26, 1927, † Rome, Sept. 7, 2010), also a very prolific songwriter. He has directed many films using Donald Murray as pseudonym. In 1960 created the radio show La Coppa del Jazz and led for a long time Hit Parade, the ranking of best record sellers. Among his films Rita, La Figlia Americana[/I] with Rita Pavone and Rokes ('67), [I]Il Dio Serpente with Nadia Cassini ('70) The Black Decameron[/I], the most recent was La Rumbera ('98), the story of a Cuban dancer. He has been married with Jamaican actress, singer, TV presenter Beryl Cunningham and was the father of Italian DJ and remixer Oliviero Vivarelli.
