Paul Phillips

British funk guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and producer Paul Phillips played guitar for the brit funk group Hi-Tension. He's the stepfather of Grace Carter (2). Paul Phillips produced A.D. 2000 in 1981 and then had a top 40 hit with DC Allstars version of Bustin' Loose. He then went on to work for record labels Street Sounds, Streetwave and Hardback. He signed up young 16 year old singer Dina Carroll who was the voice on One Nation / Set It Off and by the group Masquerade. In 1988, he played guitar on Sinéad O'Connor’s Mandinka (Jake's Remix), mixed by Tee Morris and Lloyd Phillips. He also remixed Talking Heads (Nothing But) Flowers. In India he has worked as a musical director for a series called City of Dreams. Paul is also a member of Boogie Box High with George Michael singing lead vocals.
