Jerusafunk

In 2009, band leaders Jessie Demaree and Chris Del Favero first met in Flagstaff AZ and thus began their 11 year music project. Then in 2012, they traveled for 2 years through Central and South America, performing, collecting records and instruments, and learning music from every country they visited. Returning the States in 2014, they revived the full band with new sounds and scores that no other group in Arizona had heard. With a horde of 9 to 11 incredible Arizona musicians, Jerusafunk dives deep into global psychedelia, conjuring an orgiastic sound influenced by Funk, Klezmer, Brazil, Ethiopia, Southeast Asia, Jazz, Afrobeat, Turkey, Mexico, and Colombia. Since then, they have self-funded 5 tours, 2 albums, 5 videos, and have performed with: George Clinton, March Fourth Marching Band, Harmar Superstar, Calexico, Brownout, and Combo Chimbita.
