Shanaka Yakuza

SHANAKA YAKUZA is an artist practicing the Coupé-Décalé musical style: a hybrid artistic style mixing several African musical solutions against a background of arrangements from computer-assisted sound programming and accompanied by acrobatic dances. SHANAKA comes from the second wave of this style which appeared in Ivory Coast in 2002. In 2005 he founded the concept known as “Pigeon Wing” which imitates the technical gestures of his famous compatriot, the footballer Didier DROGBA.
