Krunoslav Slabinac was a popular Croatian rock, pop, pop-folk, traditional folk music singer guitar player, composer, and arranger, and actor born March 28, 1944 in Osijek, Croatia. He performed succesfully in three styles. In pop schlager, rock and in traditional Slavonian folk music and tamboura music under the names "Krunoslav Slabinac", "Kico" or "Krunoslav Slabinac Kico" Krunoslav started in music in 1958 / 1959. Rock and roll was his first love and a style he returnd to throughout his career. Before going solo he sang in the groups Tornado and Dinamiti (1962 to 1966). In 1968, he participated in the "Saturday evening" show in Split, in which young talents fought for their place under the starry sky. That's when one of his most beautiful songs "Blonde" was written, which he also competed with. After the Split Festival, he regularly performed all the other major festivals - Opatija, Belgrade Spring, Skopje Festivals etc. He toured Europe and was a star in the Soviet Union for thirteen years. In April 1971 he represented Yugoslavia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, Ireland. His Christmas album in 1983 has become the most popular and best selling Christmas themes album in the Croatian discography. Also he was a representative in the Croatian National Parliament (1995-1999). He died November 13. 2020. Zagreb, Croatia
