Lennart Wärmell

Swedish accordionist, composer and arranger, born November 18, 1927 in Hälleforsnäs, died 1 October 2021 in Mora. He has written more than 150 melodies in various styles and recorded about 70 LPs and CDs. Perhaps the most famous is "I Fäders Spår För Framtids Segrar", the song about the Vasaloppet. Between 1951 and 2008, Wärmell was the musical director and conductor of the Accordion Club, Stockholm. He was Sveriges Dragspelares Riksförbunds first chairman 1968-1970 and vice chairman 1971-1979.
