Leonardo Matucci

Italian classical violinist. He studied at the Fiesole Music School with Antonia Parisi and Andrea Cappelletti, winning a scholarship from S.I.A.E. in 1992. and in 1993 from Friends of the Music School of Fiesole. He was part of the Italian Youth Orchestra, and attended the chamber music courses of Dario De Rosa and Renato Zanettovich. He attended Ștefan Gheorghiu's seminars at the Sion Music Academy and at the Fiesole Music School, where he also attended Norbert Brainin's specialization course for violin and Giuseppe Prencipe's shoulder violin course. After having participated in various chamber ensembles, establishing himself in various national competitions, from 1995 to 1997 he was part of the Quartetto di Fiesole as second violin, with which he won the first prize in the "Vittorio Gui" International Competition in 1996. From 2000 to 2013 he played with the Orchestra of the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago. Since 2013, he has been a member of the Orchestra Del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. He has been teaching violin at the Fiesole Music School since 1993. He is a member of the Quartetto Del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, drawn from members of I Cameristi Del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
