The Slabs (2)

Kansas City, Missouri area punk. The Slabs formed in the summer of 1983. They played their first gig a week after they got together at the Plannett, a tiny store front in Kansas City. Then members Les "Stix" Ube, Dave Scar, Johnny B. Trash and Joey Dog had to put on their own shows because no one would book them. Johnny B. Thrash then joined the Sinclairs and was replaced by Steve Brown, guitarist of Diesel 99. Since then they have played a food benefit and a fanzine benefit in Columbia, Missouri, along with other gigs.
