Philipp Jekal

Born in 1992 in Dessau, Philipp Jekal received his first vocal training with Marianne Kaiser and the music school "Kurt Weill" his line-up. Since 2011 he has been singing with KS Prof. Roland Schubert at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig. In 2015 he became César Ulloa as a scholarship and music conservatory in San Francisco. He was a prizewinner at the 2014 national singing competition (junior competition) and was recognized by the Walter and Charlotte Hamel Foundation. Masterclasses fresher with KS Brigitte Fassbaender, Prof. Thomas Quasthoff, Wolfram Rieger. He went on various occasions with Prof. Philipp Moll and Prof. Alexander Schmalcz to interpret songs. He was a scholarship holder and participant in the “Heidelberger Frühling 2014” Lied Academy under the direction of Thomas Hampson. Appearances contacts him as Mr. Slender in Salieri's FALSTAFF and in Dominik Wilgenbus' Opernpasticcio KASPAR HAUSER at the Munich Chamber Opera. In 2016 he was a participant in the Accademia Teatro alla Scala and gave his talk at La Scala in Milan as a speaker in Mozart's DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE. In the 2016/2017 season he performed as the Imperial Commissioner in MADAMA BUTTERFLY at the Leipzig Opera. In the 2017/2018 season, Philipp Jekal was associated with the Deutsche Oper Berlin as a Manfred Strohscheer scholarship holder.
