Nan Kenway

Nan Kenway was an Australian-born actress and comedienne. She was one half of the husband and wife comedy act Kenway and Young, one of Britain's best loved variety acts of the 1930's and 40's. After the Second World War, their popularity dwindled and, following the death of her husband Douglas Young, Nan Kenway opened up a hairdressing shop in the south of England. Born: 23rd March 1905 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. Died: 25th June 2001 in Surrey, England at the age of 96.
