Об исполнителе:
It all started in 1964 when a schoolband was formed at the bisschoppelijke kweekschool (parimaribostraat, The Hague, The Netherlands) The name is derived from the Shadows composition 'the rise and fall of Flingel Bunt'. The original line -up consisted of Bernard Bekman, Gerard Persoon, Bart van de Velde and Eric Slot and in the beginning they played covers of songs by Shadows, Ventures, Beatles Stones, Kinks, Byrds etc. They performed in dance halls, in café's, in the "marathon" and in the famous "Beatclub" in Scheveningen. From 1965 on they also write their own songs, both in english as in dutch and with the latter they were ahead of their time. In 1966 the Flingelbunts recorded two English and two dutch songs in the GTB-studio's of Erik Bakker in the Hague via Henri Bentzon and Jan Ouberg. At that moment the Flingelbunts consisted of: Bernard Bekman (vocals, rhythm guitar) Gerard Persoon (Vocals, solo guitar) Rinus Honig (vocals, bass guitar) Cees van Olst (drums) +2014 Because of study and military service the band fell apart in 1967 and the recorded songs were never released until in 2020.
