Janet Evra

Janet Evra is an international jazz vocalist, bassist, and bandleader from England now based in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. She tours in the USA and Europe. She has performed at the Deva Jazz Festival in Romania, the Linna Jazz Festival in Finland, the Brecon Jazz Festival in Wales, and at shows in Switzerland and Sweden. Her 2021 USA "Ask Her to Dance" tour won a JazzRoads tour support grant. Evra has collaborated with GRAMMY-winning artists and jazz superstars including Randy Brecker, Taylor Eigsti, Wycliffe Gordon, Andrea Motis, Jeff Coffin, Roy Wooten, Chad LB, Sara Gazarek, Mohini Dey, Bob Reynolds, Eric Marienthal, and Diego Figueiredo, as well as many St. Louis jazz legends. She sings in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. In St. Louis, Evra performs regularly at Jazz St. Louis and The Sheldon. Evra's music has been featured on Spotify's "Vocal Jazz" and "Best Vocal Jazz of 2023" editorial playlists. Evra was a 2019-2020 Artist in Residence at the Kranzberg Arts Foundation in St. Louis.
