Jorge Machado

Jorge Machado (b. August 16, 1927 - d. July 29, 2006) was a portuguese pianist, cellist, conductor and composer. He studied piano, cello and composition at the National Conservatory. In 1956 he chose to make a career in light music. Jorge Machado directed several bands and orchestras and until the beginning of the 90s he was a collaborator of RTP in the musical direction of several programs and collaborated in some Song Festivals.
