Steve Bull

Australian bassist, composer and producer. Steve has been a member of the Australian band ICEHOUSE since 1994. Highlights include - • Performances at Firefight Australia, Sound Relief, Homebake, the Stone Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, the Gorgeous Music Festival, Cable Sounds, the Arafura Games, Meredith Festival, the Breath of Life Festival and sold-out theatre shows across Australia • Headlining Day on the Green, Red Hot Summer and By the C series of outdoor events across Australia and New Zealand • In 2017, ICEHOUSE performed to a total of over 250,000 people including headlining three sold out shows in New Zealand with Bonnie Tyler and Alan Parsons and six sold out shows at the Enmore Theatre, Sydney. • Recent performances include Icehouse Plays Flowers at the 2020 St Kilda Festival, headlining the 2020 Selwyn Sounds in New Zealand and the 2021 By the C series of outdoor concerts • Co-producer and mix engineer for Icehouse in Concert live album and Icehouse 40 years live video series. Since 1987 Steve has performed and/or recorded with a variety of professional artists including Wendy Matthews, Jenny Morris, Kate Ceberano, the Eurogliders, Floyd Vincent and the Temple Dogs, Jeff Duff, Rex Goh, Steve Balbi, Vincent Stone, the Chantoozies, the Absolutely 80’s show, Ana Christensen, Mel Horsnell, Sister Madly, Marcia Hines, John Schuman, Doug Parkinson, John Kilbey, The Living Daylights, Magic Hour, Damien Lovelock, and many others. He has performed in theatre production seasons with The Sydney Dance Company’s Berlin, Jabobsens’ Fame the Musical, Reg Livermore’s Big Sister and Spiritworks production of Rumours. He was also the mix engineer for the New Zealand band The Mockers’ Live at the Powerstation CD and DVD. As a contracted songwriter and composer with Sony/ATV Publishing 1991-2000, he had songs recorded and released by artists in Australia, Europe and the United States including releases by Daryl Braithwaite, Ana Christensen, Penny Flanagan, Jan Preston and The Living Daylights. He continues to write with a range of new and established artists. Steve Bull co-produced numerous 'Sounds Of The Street' albums, which is a music program for homeless and long term unemployed young people in Sydney, Australia, from 1993-2000.
