Neta Norén

Swedish saxophonist and music producer, born August 26, 1962 in Lidköping but raised in Härnösand. She is a since 2007 employed at Musik Gävleborg as a chamber music producer. At the age of 11, she started playing the saxophone in the municipal music school and joined the Härnösand orchestra and Sentimental swingers early on. After studying at Ingesund Academy of Music in 1981 and the Academy of Music in Stockholm between 1982 and 1986, she graduated as an Instrumental / ensemble teacher with saxophone as her main instrument. In 1986, she co-founded the saxophone quartet Rollin Phones, where she still plays actively, the baritone saxophone instrument. Neta was also a member of the Stockholm jazz orchestra where she played baritone saxophone and various woodwind instruments. 2004-2007 she lived in Switzerland and worked there as a musician, saxophone teacher and English teacher! As the only woman, she played with the Swiss jazz orchestra and managed to record three CDs with the band.
