Frank Clarke

Do NOT confuse with US bassist Frank Clarke (3) (who played with T-Bone Walker and Jack McVea) UK session double bass player and composer. Died on May 8th 2007 at the age of 83. Among others, he played throughout the 50s, 60s and 70s with The Stanley Black Orchestra, Ambrose, Ted Heath, Geraldo, Matt Munro, Frankie Vaughan, Sammy Davis Junior, Ella Fitzgerald, Petula Clark, Tony Osborne, Cliff Richard on his first record ("Move It" / "Schoolboy Crush") and The Beatles ("Penny Lane"). In later years he played for many sessions of film or television music.
