This profile is for the synth musician in Kitten Majestique and Black Orbs only. (For the Dear Euphoria/Fashionpolice producer and sound engineer (recording, mixing and mastering credits), see Sven Johansson (2).) Sven Johansson first formed a band called Stagnance. All band members were from Örebro, even if none of them still live there. Stagnance changed its name to Kitten Majestique, they wrote and recorded four songs on a porta studio with the first line-up, then band member Per moved to Uppsala and Emma to Stockholm. They moved away from the neo-goth style. A new line-up with a Magnus on bass and another Emma on violin. It did not result in anything concrete. They did a few gigs. A few years later Sven moved to Linköping and made a lot of half-finished recordings that were never released, apart from the shortened version of "Avoiding conversations about it" which ended up on a compilation. Most of it was heavily inspired and influenced by the Legendary Pink Dots and psychedelia. Then there was silence for ten years while after Sven stopped doing music. Around 2013 or so, Sven and a bunch of friends formed Black Orbs in Stockholm. They have been playing live a lot, but haven't managed to release anything yet, despite a huge amount of recorded material. There are some tracks released on Facebook and YouTube, which are mostly clips of rehearsal room recordings made before gigs to have something to show off. The line-up does have synths and string instruments, but the music doesn't have much to do with synth/industrial. Rather psych, kraut, doom, stoner, ambient, post-rock. Recording of a first single is going on in 2023.
