Swedish singer, born 1 February 1949 in Fuxerna parish in what was then Älvsborg county. She was exempted from ninth grade to tour with the singing group Family Four. In the late 1960s, she began her career as a solo artist. In 1969 he participated for the first time in the Melodifestivalen with the song "You do not see me". Five years later she participated again, this time with "A green dream about me". During the first half of the 1970s, she toured with Siw Malmkvist and Marie Bergman, among others. She had several hits on the Swedish top, the biggest was called "Touch me" and was on the list 19 weeks in 1973. Together with Diana Nuñez and Anita Strandell, she formed the group Tre Damer. They appeared in pub shows at Berns, Bacchi Wapen and Hamburger Börs. They performed with artists such as Cornelis Vreeswijk, Jan Malmsjö, Tommy Körberg and Loa Falkman. Inger Öst has also worked as a field artist in Cyprus, Sinai and Lebanon. She has also tried to play theater and participated in the farce Lottor och landstorm at Reginateatern in Stockholm.
