Doug Mazique

Bassist and vocalist from Chicago, Illinois. Mazique was born in Hyde Park and graduated from Francis W. Parker School. He died at age 42 on September 2, 1992 after he was shot in a robbery. Mazique had played with rock, blues and country and western bands in Chicago and the greater Midwest since the 1960s, including The Foggy Notions, Hot Spurs, Betsy and The Bone Shakers, Virgil Kane, Lip Service, The Jerks!, and Chydeco Zydeco.
