Jim Hartnett

James (Jim) E. Hartnett (Butch) 76, of Perth Amboy, (b, March 7, 1944 ~ d, October 1, 2020 (age 76)) Butch was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and was a life long resident of Perth Amboy. He studied music theory and composition in high school and was active in sports. He was also a musican, producer, writer and composer, recording his first composition at the age of 14. Jim is recognised for producing and arranging a charted Northern Soul scene spin in the UK, still circulating, titled “Hipit” back in 1976 with his studio band “Hosanna”. Butch worked for Metzendorf Bros., Inc., Perth Amboy, as a truck driver.
