Peter Schleicher was an Austrian singer, musician and composer. He was born May 10, 1945 in Vienna and died January 17, 2015 in Vienna. In the 70ties he was known mostly as keyboard player in bands like The Clan (1967 together with Helmut Nowak and Ludwig Hirsch) and Plastic Drug (1968 - together with Helmut Nowak, Uzzi Förster and Hansi Lang). He was also member of Wolfgang Ambros's first band "Die No. 1 vom Wienerwald". He started a solo career, best known for his Viennese dialect translations of Rolling Stones lyrics (containing some explicit lyrics, e.g. "Die Beislhur'"). 1995 he played a special show in Vienna, getting accompanied by Stones guitar player Mick Taylor as guest musician. In the past years Schleicher mostly worked on musical productions in the US. In 2011 he formed a band and performed his Stones covers again after 30 years to a bigger audience.
