Ján Hus

Born some 1369, Husinec – † 6. July 1415, Konstanz, Germany Czech an important medieval theologian, priest, preacher and religious reformer. In 1400 he was ordained a priest. In 1411 he was excommunicated as a heretic from the church. July 6, 1415 Ján Hus burned alive at the border. John Hus is considered the forerunner of Protestantism. After his death, the Hussite revolution broke out in Bohemia.
