José Gomes Sobrinho

Brazilian conductor born in Bonito - Pernambuco, began his career in Caruaru. At 13, he was already working at Rádio Difusora. He then worked on Rádio e TV Jornal do Commercio, and on TV Universitária. He was also a music copyist in Orquestra Sinfônica Do Recife; and professor at Conservatório Pernambucano de Música for 30 years. He has also accompanied singers as Eliana Pittman, Cauby Peixoto and Geraldo Azevedo, acting as an arranger, conductor and composer. The musician has more than one hundred arrangements for choirs in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, as well as works published in the United States and Europe. Currently, the conductor is part of the Pernambuco Academy of Music.
